The Seattle Mariners.

I am a HUGE Mariner's fan.  Enough said.  I know a lot about them... follow their every move... go to the games... own enough clothing to hold stock in them... you get the picture.

Today was an amazing game.  Sadly enough, it didn't end too well, but the beginning was good.  Felix Hernandez.  AKA, the King of the Mariners.  He is 22, started when he was 18, and was out pitcher today.  Well, because the Mariners aren't doing so hot these days, they figured, "Why not let our pitcher hit?  We're already doing terrible, it can't do any harm.. right?"  So, Felix gets up... 2 outs in the inning... bases loaded... and hits a grand slam.  Oh yeah.  A grand slam.

Unfortunately, he got hurt in the 5th, and didn't get the 5-1 win over the Braves, but in my book, he earned that win.  I mean come on, the guy pitched a 2 hitter, and drove in 4 of the 5 runs.... he won that game.  Now we have to wait and see how bad the ankle injury is..

Oh, and my all time favorite baseball player Willie Bloomquist played today, and was one of those men on base when Felix got up.  Good luck charm?
